Personal Statement

As part of the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at ÈÕ±¾avÉ«ÇéƬ, and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, I care for patients with a broad array of hematologic and oncologic diseases, with a particular focus on gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. I work as part of a multidisciplinary team of cancer experts including surgeons, radiation oncologists, nutritionists and palliative care specialists to create a tailored treatment plan for each patient.

I understand that a cancer diagnosis has a profound physical and emotional impact on the lives of patients, their family members and caregivers. This drives me to deliver compassionate, high-quality and personalized care to each patient, while partnering with them to ensure their needs and goals of care are met along the way.

In addition to patient care, I am fortunate to work alongside a renowned team of clinical investigators to identify new, state-of-the-art treatment strategies for patients with gastrointestinal cancers. I view this work as critical to improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
